Scoop on Stephenie Meyer's New Movie The Host —Move Over, Twilight!

With only one Twilight saga flick left, Stephenie Meyer's fans are gearing up for the author's next big buzzed about movie adaptation, The Host.
But does The Host have what it takes to become as big as Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's vampire franchise?

"I have no idea what people's sensibilities are, but Stephenie Meyer has a finger on a pulse of the youth of this country, of the world actually," Frances Fisher, who plays Saoirse Ronan's character's aunt Maggie in the movie, told us.
"When I started tweeting that I was doing this I was getting responses from France, South America and Russia," she said of the film's hype. "There's so many people already who are aware of The Host."
For those who don't know, The Host in an apocalyptic tale that follows Ronan's character Melanie and several others who are survivors of an alien attack on Earth. Fisher calls it, "psychological sci-fi."
Watch The Host teaser trailer!
"We're going to see amazing performances from Saoirse Ronan and William Hurt," Fisher teased of the cast, which also includes Diane Kruger and hot hunks Max Irons and Jake Abel.
While The Host is sure to be as big with Meyer's fans as the Twilight films are, Fisher says that's where the comparisons between the franchises ends.
"It's a whole other thing!" she laughed. "It's vampires versus aliens."
The Host is set to hit theaters March 29, 2013."

Channing Tatum updates

10-YEARS-POSTER
"One day, while hanging out on the Charleston, S.C. set of the 2010 Nicholas Sparks weepie Dear John, star Channing Tatum got to talking with costar Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights) and the film’s screenwriter, Jamie Linden (We Are Marshall). Porter and Linden were old high school buddies, and they’d just come back from their 10 year reunion. “Channing didn’t go to his,” Linden tells EW, “so he had a bunch of questions.” Soon, producers Reid Carolin, Marty Bowen, and Wyck Godfrey joined in.
Sometimes, filmmaking is just that simple: Stars + writer + producers + personal experience = The indie ensemble comedy 10 Years, written and directed by Linden, and starring Tatum, Porter, and a who’s who cavalcade of young Hollywood. EW has an exclusive first look at the poster for the film, which opens Sept. 14 — check it out below:

As the poster implies, Tatum and Rosario Dawson play ex-high school sweethearts who haven’t seen each other for years. That particular shot of them together as teenagers was Photoshopped, but Linden says his cast shares a surprising amount of personal history. “There are pictures of Chris Pratt and Rosario from 10 years ago,” he says. “Kate [Mara] and [Anthony] Mackie have known each other for a long time. And Mackie and Oscar [Issac] went to Juilliard together with Lynn [Collins]. There’s all sorts of one degrees of separation with all the cast.” He chuckles. “‘Young Hollywood,’ for lack of a better term — that feels like something out of a Bret Easton Ellis novel — is kind of a small group. Everyone knows each other.”

‘Dark Knight Rises’ Closes In on $36M Box-Office Three-Peat; ‘Total Recall’ Eyes $26M

"

By Todd Cunningham
"Dark Knight Rises” has tightened its grip on the domestic box office, taking in $10.4 million Friday to put itself on track for a $36 million weekend.
The final entry in director Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, still in 4,242 theaters, has  been No. 1 since opening on July 20. It has grossed $354 million in North America for Warner Bros., $570 million worldwide.
“Total Recall” grossed $9.2 million on its first day and looks on pace for a three-day total of around $27 million. Colin Farrell stars in Sony’s remake of the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger sci-fi classic, which is playing in 3,601 theaters.

The showing of the top two films were in line with expectations, but the overall box office may still be feeling the effects of the Olympics and fallout from the Colorado shootings.  It’s on a pace nearly 25 percent down from the same frame last year, when “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” drove the weekend with a $54 million opening.
Fox's tween-targeting “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days,” the weekend’s other wide opener, brought in $6 million Friday and will likely wind up with around $17 million for the three days.
Two other Fox films, “Ice Age: Continental Drift” and “The Watch," are battling for fourth place, on pace for weekends of $8 million and $6 million respectively.
Universal’s comedy “Ted” crossed the $200 million overall domestic gross mark in its sixth week and is looking at $5.5 million for the three days.
Summit's "Step Up Revolution" is on track to make $5.3 million in its second week.
Earlier ...
“Dark Knight Rises” will take a third-week victory lap at the North American box office this weekend say industry analysts, who predict a $37 million three-day haul. But the focus will be on the “Total Recall” remake starring Colin Farrell.
Sony, buoyed by a late surge in tracking, is looking for its redo of the 1990 movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger to open at $30 million or a little lower. The analysts, who set their projections earlier, see it bowing at around $23 million. That's dangerously close to the weekend’s other wide opener, Fox’s “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days,” pegged for $21 million.
Hard to imagine Arnold getting beat up by a wimpy kid, isn’t it? That's part of the intrigue going into the weekend, in which neither the Olympics' second weekend nor the lingering effects of the Colorado shootings aftermath are expected to be much of a factor.
The creative team and the marketing department at Sony faced the same conundrum with “Total Recall” all movie re-dos deal with: How do you offer a take fresh enough to attract new moviegoers without alienating devoted fans of the original?

It can be done. Fox scored with last summer’s “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” which opened to $54 million in the U.S."

Box Office Report: 'Total Recall,' 'Dark Knight Rises' in Close Friday Race

"

Columbia Pictures

Christopher Nolan's final Batman pic is expected to edge past the "Total Recall" remake for the weekend and stay at No. 1; Fox's threequel "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days" off to solid start.

Sony's sci-fi action epic Total Recall is in a close race with holdover The Dark Knight Rises at the Friday box office, with each pic on track to gross in the $9 million to $10.5 million range.
It's possible that Total Recall -- headlining Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel -- could win the Friday race and even cross $11 million, but most observers believe Dark Knight Rises will pull ahead on Saturday and stay atop the domestic box office for a third weekend in a row.
Total Recall, based both on the 1990 Paul Verhoeven film and the short story by Philip K. Dick, is expected to earn in the high-$20 million range for the weekend, while Dark Knight Rises is slotted to gross $31 million to $34 million. Some believe Total Recall also could cross $30 million, though.
The weekend's other new entry is Fox's family pic Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days. The threequel is expected to gross $6.5 million to $7.5 million on Friday for a weekend debut north of $17.5 million.

Research tracking firm NRG continues to advise studios that 20 percent of the moviegoing audience remains skittish about going to see a movie in the wake of the Aurora theater shooting during a midnight screening of Dark Knight Rises on July 20. And the London Olympics are proving a huge draw.
Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Rises, from Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures, has earned north of $600 million worldwide in its first two weeks, a massive number even though the film continues to pace behind its 2008 predecessor The Dark Knight.
Overseas, Universal's Ted is making headlines as it opens in another 10 markets, including Germany, where it grossed $1.2 million on Thursday to top the box office. And in the U.K., the R-rated comedy from writer-director Seth MacFarlane earned a stellar $5.3 million in its first two days of previews.
Ted has been rolling out slowly overseas, earning an impressive $54.5 million to date."

Whitney Houston's Final Performance Teased in 'Sparkle' Trailer (Video)

"Cee-Lo Green’s rendition of "I’m a Man” serves as a backdrop for a quick look at the late singer's role in the film.

A well-coiffed Cee-Lo Green is the focus of the latest Sparkle trailer, but the latest glimpse of Whitney Houston’s final big screen performance may be the reason to watch.
The trailer teases footage of Houston’s character—a former singing star—performing in a church choir, while Green sings "I’m a Man."

The Sony film, which hits theaters Aug. 17, features Houston as a single mother of a promising singer, Sparkle, played by Jordin Sparks, and two other daughters. Though the girls are the ones who try to make it big as a singing group, Houston will get her own time to shine, when she sing's the gospel song "His Eye Is on the Sparrow.”
A previous Sparkle trailer included a short audio excerpt of Houston’s vocal performance in the film. The late singer served as an exec producer on the Sony Pictures movie.

Catching Fire casting go now

"The second film in a super-popular trilogy, "Catching Fire", is now in pre-production and casting calls for the film's extras have now gone out. Casting has been underway in Los Angeles for new co-starring and supporting roles. The day players, extras, photo doubles, and stand-ins will be hired in the Atlanta, GA area where shooting take place. Additional casting will take place on the Hawaiian Islands of Oahu and Kauai, and possibly in North Carolina. The production company of "Catching Fire", GGX Productions, filed corporation papers with the North Carolina Department of the Secretary of State in April, 2012. GGX Productions, Inc now has an office in Raleigh, NC.
The first film in this Suzanne Collins trilogy, "The Hunger Games" used the working title of "Artemis". According to the Georgia Film, Music & Digital Entertainment Commission, "Catching Fire" is using the working title "The Idiom". A working title is the temporary name of a film used during its development. Working titles are used primarily for two reasons - the first being that an official title has not yet been decided upon and the working title is being used as a filler for naming purposes, the second being to intentionally disguise the production of a high profile film.
Vienna, Austria born filmmaker Francis Lawrence will direct "Catching Fire" from an adapted screenplay being rewritten by Academy Award winner Michael Arndt (from original drafts by Simon Beaufoy). Lawrence took over directing duties from Gary Ross, who co-wrote the screenplay and directed "Artemis". Ross stated that he would not have the time needed to write and prep the movie the way he would have wanted to because of the fixed and tight production schedule. Ross has stayed on board as one of the producers.
Details on how talent can submit for acting roles, and casting call information for extras can be found on the following auditions and extras casting post:

Resident evil 5 trailer 2

Resident evil 5 is coming soon

Well, we promised you a kick-ass new trailer for Re5ident Evil: Retribution, and that’s exactly what you’re getting. Featuring more zombies than you can shake a boomstick at, this is definitely the trailer you die-hard Resident Evil fans have been waiting for. Don’t be fooled by the cutesy nonsense in the first 30 seconds: that’s just what Umbrella wants you to do! Check it out, via Yahoo:
Holy shit! This is a turnout for the books: everything Alice has been up to in the last four films is being used against her. The release of the T-Virus in Umbrella’s underground research lab, the fight with Nemesis, all that business with the Road Warrior-style desert battles, and even kicking the shit out of Wesker were all a dupe. Alice has been played, and now she wants payback.
There are so many cool things going on in this concise trailer it’s only two minutes long if you exclude the fluff at the start that I’m not quite sure where to begin, or even where to end. So here are three of the coolest bits:

The Huge Tyrant

We thought Nemesis was a force to be reckoned with, but this brute blows him out of the water. This tyrant is as big as a car, and looks pretty much unfazed by bullets. Even running him over with a car just seems to stun him for a second.

A Ton of Gunships

Clouds of these evil little rocket-spewing beauties can be seen blowing the hell out of everything on screen. They’re fast, agile and armed to the teeth; their only weakness might be an inability to hit dual-wielding superhumans standing very still.

The Return of Jill Valentine

Sienna Guillory is back as the blonde with the red crystal around her neck. Last seen in Resident Evil: Afterlife, that gem is a mind control device, which is definitely bad news for humanity: Jill is on another level when it comes to badass action heroines, perhaps even as good as Alice.
Those are just my favorites, but the whole thing is gold: the return of Wesker, Ada Wong’s choice of outfit, Alice braining a zombie with a baseball bat… solid gold.

What is your most embarrassing moment as a writer?
Hmm, good question. Awkward typos are pretty embarrassing. Oh! For a writing workshop class, I was reading through a partial from someone named Logan, and the protagonist was a girl. I praised Logan for trying something in the POV from a character who was the opposite gender, and when I got to class later that week, I realized that Logan was actually a girl. We became friends because of it, but I still felt terrible.

So... scoop on the next book?
My lips are sealed! The best I can tell you is that there will be a 2.5 called The Goddess Legacy, which is a collection of novellas from five different characters (Calliope, Ava, Persephone, James, and Henry) which form one entire story about the gods before long Kate was born. And as for the third one, The Goddess Inheritance, you’ll just have to wait and see, I’m afraid.

Will there be a film?
Anything’s possible, but right now there are no plans to make it a film.

Out of the two Goddess test books which is your favourite?
Goddess Interrupted, for sure.

Favourite Author?
JK Rowling

What is the book you wish you had written?
I think the stereotypical answer here is Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, etc. But if I’d written them, I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy them, and Harry Potter especially has been such a huge influence on my life that I simply wouldn’t be the same person without it. I’m very happy with the books I do write.

Ian Somerhalder Talks Upbringing, Fifty Shades of Grey on Chelsea Lately

Will Ian Somerhalder star in the wildly-anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey movie? That question was posed to The Vampire Diaries star during his Chelsea Lately appearance on Wednesday.
And the talented actor certainly sounds up for it, acknowledging the possibility and joking that - based on his 175-year old blood sucker falling for an 18-year old on this CW hit - he's clearly into younger women.
Other topics broached in the video below: Somerhalder accent, filming his show at night and, of course, Chelsea Handler's overt, unfunny attempts to make EVERYthing about sex. Watch now:

Meanwhile, did you catch last night's Vampire Diaries season finale? If so, please remember to breathe again now. Holy everything.

Should Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Star in 50 Shades of Grey?

Would Kristen Stewart be up for starring in Fifty Shades of Grey?
She hasn't read it yet, but she's already dying to star in a new film with boyfriend Robert Pattinson, and it's loosely based on their characters, so ... maybe!
The sexy novel trilogy by EL James, recently acquired by Universal Studios in a movie deal, was inspired by Edward and Bella from the Twilight novels.
Knowing this, could she see herself and Rob in 50 Shades?
“I’m dying to make another movie with Rob, I think that we’re a good team,” Kristen said. “I think whatever it is needs to be so ridiculously ambitious."

Breaking Dawn Stars
"So maybe! I just haven’t read it, so I don’t know too much about what it is, but I've heard good things, and would love to work with him again.”
Kristen reiterated that she "doesn't know" when asked if she could picture herself and Rob playing Christian and Anastasia in 50 Shades of Grey.
You can see why the idea appeals to many fans, however - as does another faux vampire combo in The Vampire Diaries' Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev.
In the book, Ana (based off of Bella) falls for Christian (based on Edward Cullen), a rich 27-year-old entrepreneur who introduces her into his erotic world of S&M.
What's your take? Would the Snow White and the Huntsman star be a good fit for the role? Vote for who you think should play both lead characters below to vote

Reese Witherspoon's Dad Sued for Bigamy by Her Mom

WHCD, Reese Witherspoon Stephen Lovekin/Getty images
Here's a case Elle Woods probably wants no part of.
Reese Witherspoon's mother, Betty Witherspoon, is suing the Oscar winner's father, John Witherspoon, for bigamy.
Wait, what? Let us explain.

While Betty and John have been separated since 1996, the Legally Blonde star's parents are still legally married.
As a result, Betty is seeking to have John's Jan. 14 marriage in Tennessee to Tricianne Taylor annulled, USA Today reports.
In her lawsuit, filed against both John and Tricianne, Betty insists she is still in love with her husband and does not want to divorce him.

What's more, Betty believes John is suffering from early-onset dementia and that Tricianne might be taking advantage of his condition, stating in court documents that Tricianne is already living in a Nashville condo owned by Reese as well as getting John to change his will.
"When I confronted my husband, he said he didn't know who Tricianne Taylor was and that he did not remember getting married," Betty said in the affidavit. "I also fear for my husband's personal safety and the safety of my family."
In addition to wanting John's marriage to Tricianne annulled, Betty has also asked the court that Tricianne be forced to return any vehicles, jewelry or other property acquired since she and John tied the knot.

Watch Now! Prince Charles Delivers a Jolly Good Weather Report

Prince Charles Arthur Edwards / Getty Images
Royals evergreen blog tile
Good news for Al Roker: His job security has never been higher.
It would seem that a royal's work is never done, and Prince Charles proved it today when he dropped by the BBC's Scottish HQ, where he was quickly enlisted to deliver an on-air weather report to his subjects. And while he started out with just as much on-camera ease and charisma as you'd expect…well, prepare to be amused by the most unexpected of stiff-upper-lip–breaking outbursts.
And now, here's Prince Charles with the weather…

Prince Charles—or, as he's known in that particular neck of the United Kingdom, the Duke of Rothesay—made the surprise appearance after he and Camilla took a tour of the Glasgow broadcast center.
"We've got a new member of our weather team tonight, and let me hand it to him now. Your Highness," the anchor said, introducing Charles.

With that, he was off, delivering a weather report against a green screen and reading from a prompter that made sure to cheekily highlight the temperatures around the castles and various royal residences around the U.K.—something Charles seemed to catch on to midway through his delivery.
"There's potential for a few flurries over Balmoral—who the hell wrote this script," he said, prompting much laughter from those in the studio.
We don't know, but considering they somehow managed to humanize the future king in a minutelong weather report, we don't think a knighthood should be completely out of the question.

The Avengers Came to the Rescue of Which Flailing Flick?

Avengers Marvel/Disney Enterprises
The Avengers is a mighty movie, all right.
Hollywood's record-busting box-office champ was so strong last weekend it helped lift up the year's most notorious money-loser.
Yes, John Carter, a thank-you note may be in order.
RELATED: The Dark Knight Rises vs. The Avengers
Double features pairing The Avengers and John Carter, some at drive-ins, propelled the latter movie to a $1.5 million Friday-Sunday take and a 12th-place showing on the weekend charts.
The previous weekend, as a solo act, John Carter grossed just $112,000.
The Avengers' halo effect also had the added bonus of getting John Carter over the $70 million mark domestically.
After a historic $207.4 million opening weekend domestically, the Disney-distributed Avengers has banked $700 million-plus in its first 13 days of release worldwide.
John Carter, from the same studio, has a somewhat different story.
Made for a reported budget of $250 million, the not-badly reviewed but mostly ignored Martian adventure caused Disney to declare a loss.
After two long months in theaters, John Carter has grossed about $271 million worldwide.
Even The Avengers can only do so much.

Ouch! What Happened to Hilary Swank's Hand?

Hilary Swank Humberto Carreno/Startraksphoto.com
Talk about beauty and a beast of an injury.
Last night, Hilary Swank was 100 percent glamazon when she strolled the red carpet and mingled with fashion's finest at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala, but yesterday morning, she wasn't quite so polished, when she was spotted arriving at JFK airport sporting a nasty and painful-looking injury on her hand.
So what happened?

Though it looks like a bad burn—and possibly a fresh one at that—a source close to the 37-year-old dismissed the seriousness of the injury, telling E! News, "It's just a simple scratch."
The source added that the paparazzi photos of the hand make it look worse than it actually is.
PHOTOS: 2012 Met Gala Fashion Police
Glad to hear it! And since Hilary was otherwise all smiles as she made her way through the airport with her two dogs yesterday, we're guessing the pain couldn't have been too bad—or at least, nothing a little glamorous all-night partying couldn't help ease.
As it happens, it was quite an injury-plagued night. Brooke Shields also caused a stir when she strolled the red carpet at the ball with a cane, though she waved off the walking injury as "inconvenient" but "not a big deal." The things we do for fashion.

The Teen Mom star tells E! News exclusively that those pesky pics that have since hit the Web showing all angles of the 20-year-old Evans both before and after last week's breast augmentation surgery were taken while she was hepped up on prescription meds.

"I was still not in the right state of mind from the anesthesia and I was on my prescribed medication," said the reality trainwreck.
The news that her former bad-boy beau subsequently sold the revealing pictures to the tabloids has prompted her to rethink whom she invites into her (oft-tumultuous) life.
"I'm very depressed but I'll eventually get over it. I just wish I knew who to trust these days," she added. "He was the only one that had them and now they are online. I also have texts of him admitting it."

Evans also took to Twitter to explain how Delp managed to snap the photos in the first place.
"I was f--ked up off of anesthesia after the surgery. I didn't kno [sic] he took the after photos," she tweeted, before adding, "The before photos [he] took without me lookin and told me he deleted them thats why I was laughing in the pic cuz I'm like lol stop."
LOL! Not!
It's just more drama from the MTV personality, who hinted that she'd like to hold Kiefer accountable—if only, darn it, he didn't have some dirt on her!
"I didn't give him any permission and yes I kno [sic] I have a good case but he has more blackmail on me so I cant," she wrote in another post.
Ironically, Kiefer was said to be taking care of her postsurgery, so we imagine they'll have a lot to talk about.

Avatar updates

Avatar 2009 Followed by

James Cameron is planning to shoot some footage seven miles underwater in the Challenger Deep, the deepest point of the Mariana Trench and also the deepest location on earth.

AVATAR: James Cameron Devoted to Franchise

Avatar Alternate Versions

"Avatar: Special Edition" was released theatrically less than a year after the original release, it contains approximately eight minutes of extra footage, including new creatures and action scenes.

The 178-minute extended version has the same additions as included in the 2010 Special Edition with the following additions and changes:
  • The biggest addition being the alternate opening with Jake describing life on earth. At the bar with his friends, he saves a young woman from being hit by a man by fighting him. However, he gets thrown out by the doorman at the backlane. The two men then approach him to tell him about his twin Tommy's demise and the proposal of taking over. There's a close-up of a dead Tommy slowly consumed by the incinerator fire and it morphs to Jake at the spaceship as to point out them being twins. Due to that, the close-up (serves as the bookmark of the original opening and ending) of Jake opening his eyes on the ship has been removed.
  • Before taking off to Pandora, an extra line of the pilot has been added: "Copy, Venture Star. Go for de-orbit burn at 2-2-4 niner."
  • The next two additions deal more about the abandoned school scene in the Special Edition. The first one happens when Grace considers a picture of Neytiri that Jake brought out, she starts to wallow in memories. about her twin Sylwanin. She reveals her dead, obviously killed by the mercenaries as well as Norm once had a relationship with her.
  • The second addition: After Grace insists Jake to have a meal, he sees a picture of Grace teaching a few Na'vi at school, two of them being a young Neytiri and her twin Sylwanin. She describes what happened on the day Sylwanin was killed and how the school was abandoned.
  • After the marines vacate the lab and prepare for retaliation, there is an extension by Grace which obviously reveals that the marines wanted and planned for a war with the Na'vi. The small sequence that happens in the theatrical version after that was removed.
  • There is also the alternative Family-friendly audio track, which substitutes profanity words with a more clean words. James Cameron said in an interview that the track was included when his young son complained on hearing that accidentally while playing the movie.

Released to commemorate the 2010 Earth Day, the 171-minute Special edition includes the following additional scenes:
  • The first flight across Pandora was longer, with the helicopter flying past the Stuurmbeast herd. Grace informs Norm and Jake about it.
  • The squad reaches the abandoned school. It reveals that Grace teaches English to the Na'vi children until a serious incident came about (bullet holes around, etc..) which was insinuated about.
  • Jake and Neytiri tripping through the neon-light woods is slightly longer.
  • When Jake joins the circle, a little Na'vi girl smiles at him curiously, but her father holds her back. Neytiri then arrives and hands Jake a fruit.
  • Jake tries to ask Neytiri her name, but she seems annoyed by that.
  • Jake, Grace and Norm proceed from the helicopter to the secluded laboratory. There's an explanation about the mountains.
  • At night, Jake and Neytiri run through the luminescent forest.
  • After Jake touches the Fan Lizard, it flies away in a radiant glow. Its fellow species follow suit and, to the delight of Jake and Neytiri, raise themselves into the air.
  • As Jake and the other Na'vi climb the mountain, Neytiri flies past them on a Seze.
  • The Na'vi goes for an aerial hunt for Stuurmbeast. Jake shoots one and exclaims in excitement. Neytiri follow suit as well.
  • The Na'vi destroy the Hell Trucks of the mining company.
  • The next morning, Wainfleet's squad sifts through the remains of the Hell Trucks. Turns out that Na'vi kill the soldiers as well. Quaritch and Selfridge watch the live broadcast.
  • Tsu'tey's fall from the sky is longer. A few plants decelerate and break his fall.
  • The Hammerhead Titanotheres has been extended.
  • The fight between Neytiri on a Thanathor and Quaritch is slightly longer.
  • Tsu'Tey's death: he knows he is dying and appoints Jake to be his successor. He insists Jake to kill him because by Na'vi customs, Jake has to pass him to the Eywa by killing him by his own hands. Neytiri starts to cry. Jake reluctantly complies with his wish, stabbing him by the knife as the camera passes by him.
  • The end credits has an addition of using Discovery Zone's Bless the Plague soundtrack. The copyright year has been replaced with 2010.

Between the risqué wardrobe picks and the red carpet sashay up a treacherous flight of stairs, it always seems like someone's gonna suffer a wardrobe malfunction at the Metropolitan Costume Institute Gala.
Somehow, Gwyneth Paltrow managed to sail through fashion's biggest night—despite her Prada halter dress' hiked-up-to-there hem and healthy showing of side boob all delicately balanced on some precariously high Prada heels. Right on, Lady Goop!
Beyoncé also managed to avoid embarrassment while exposing herself in a barely-there Givenchy gown. And Scarlett Johansson shut it down in a romantic Dolce & Gabbana dress that had us girl-crushing, hard.

Who's Not Going to Star in Iron Man 3? Oscar Nominee Pulls Out of Key Role

Robert Downey Jr., Iron Man 2 Francois Duhamel/Paramount Pictures
There's been a lot of talk about Iron Man 3 lately.
We've heard some cool new facts about the anticipated flick, including new names joining the cast, and as always, we've also heard about certain celebs that are skipping out on the sequel.
And now, we have another (pretty) face that will be absent from the big screen.

Unfortunately, Jessica Chastain, who was slated to play a "sexy scientist" that goes toe-to-toe against Gwyneth Paltrow's character in vying for Iron Man's love, has dropped out of the film.
"Sorry to say that Iron Man 3 isn't going to work out," The Help star wrote on her Facebook page. "My schedule is jammed packed and I can't fit anything else in. The press announced my possible attachment far too soon. I know many of you wanted me to be involved, and I'm so sorry to disappoint you. Hopefully there'll be another Marvel film in my future. Shane Black and everyone on the IM3 team are really wonderful. I'm very excited to see the film when it comes out. xx"
